Our Philosophy

The educational philosophy of Genesis Christian Academy is dependent upon the Bible for providing the viewpoint for interpreting any subject of any school activity. The process of education is viewed to bring students to God through personal faith in Jesus Christ and education. We believe that children learn and develop better when they are in an environment that not only stimulates them, but is also inspired by their teachers, curriculum, and being able to use the gifts that God has given to them.

Mission Statement

Genesis Christian Academy is a beacon of hope for those that would like to have a Christ-centered education that is not only in a nurturing environment, but is done in the spirit of academic excellence allowing the student to discover, develop, and pursue their talents that God has bestowed upon them to go with purpose into the world to be the leaders that God has called them to be.

It is the mission of Genesis Christian Academy to provide our students with a quality, Christ-centered academic education in a Biblically directed learning environment that will equip them for advanced studies.

Proverbs 22:6 directs us to "train up a child in the way that he should go; when he is old he will not depart from it" and we want to cultivate and instill in our students the importance of a personal relationship with God, as well as education that is the epitome of academic excellence.

Our Curriculum

Genesis Christian Academy uses the Abeka curriculum. The Abeka curriculum has been used by millions of Christian school students since it started in 1972 with many of those students having been accepted into prestigious colleges and going on to serve the Lord in demanding careers. Abeka's teacher-led, character-building philosophy comes from a biblical foundation of Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go". This has been proven over time with children of all different learning abilities.

Abeka has a proven track record of providing students with a high academics and a Biblical worldview that allows for them to be prepared to make a difference in the world, enabling them to do anything God has called them to do. Abeka's aim is for each student to grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually.

Intellectual

Teaching from a practical, traditional approach will develop students intellectually. They'll be able to demonstrate appropriate grade-level knowledge aligned with standardized testing and pursue a college program of study.

Moral

Through traditional teaching designed to help instill good character and by meeting program expectations, students will be able to display personal integrity in their everyday lives and discern right from wrong.

Spiritual

Because of daily Bible instruction and use of a Christian curriculum, students will be able to apply Biblical truths from God's word to their own lives, demonstrate knowledge of the doctrines of the Bible, and choose prayer and memorizing scripture to grow in their faith.
